Fort kochi walkway has endless view points for nature lovers. Do spend some time ,ride around or simply turn on some music and walk around.
I learnt this new word from a local here known as 'Cheenavala' which translates to Chinese Fishing Nets. They are a common sight all over Fort Kochi. Their sheer size especially when observed during dusk/dawn can be quite mesmerising.
Kashi Art cafe, The exteriors that lead into the cafe has a huge graffiti wall that have lovely work done by locals. They keep changing the art every month ! A must visit for art lovers !
Kadamakudy, a place offer are unspoilt and untouched backwaters, a perfect getaway for a city dweller. A perfect place for bird watching, tranquil and soaking yourself amidst silence and sunsets !
If you're the kind of traveller who would prefer to visit a place knowing what the main sights to see and places to eat are, Kadamakudy, a cluster of fourteen islets, would force you to reconsider the way you travel.
A spot where the locals come to do some fishing ! Kadamakudy is famous for prawn farming for 6 months and the rest of the year the farms are used for paddy cultivation !
Cheraman Juma Masjid, the first mosque in India. Since photography ain't allowed inside the mosque, here's something I learnt. It is considered to be one of the oldest shrines in the world.
Kerala's Cheraman mosque points to a time of peaceful coexistence in an era when that seems increasingly under threat.
Ponnani harbour is an extremely beautiful place. The harbour greets you with a huge horizontal structure that happens to be the port and a place where people segregate their catch !
Ponnani is a major fishing harbour and forms a big part of the economy too. I waited a while for the mechanised ships to arrive at the port to get a glimpse of the fishermen and the way they work. Tough life !
A click with the oldest boat of the harbour.
Ponnani harbour is an extremely beautiful place.
The road to Calicut from ponnani are maintained well. The ride is filled with scenic beaches, backwaters and plush greenery throughout. On this road one can just speed up to his/her souls satisfaction.
The moment I reached Calicut and enquired about a good place for breakfast, everyone came up with only one name 'Paragon' ! Known for its authentic and lip smacking cuisine. A must try when in Calicut !
Having heard a lot about calicuts very own sweet street, with a smile on my face I headed towards it, to find out that there was some strike and all the shops were closed for the day !
I rode across Kannur and thalasherry seeing sights of the hammer and sickle displayed very openly, a sight that would have stirred a hornet's nest in some of the other countries that I have been to.
I came back again the next day early in the morning hoping for calm and an uncluttered view of infinity and the place didn't disappoint me. Nature embraced me with all its serenity. Lots of winged friends spotted while cruising through.
An experimental shot through my helicam !
Riding through the beach on a Dominar is good. But having Kalari experts battling it out on the beach while you're riding is straight up great.
The district of Coorg harbours a number of tourist spots, Coorg being the last destination of my road trip I decided to challenge myself and chose to ride to Mandalpatti.
This off beaten and bumpy mandalpatti ride paid off and led me to the breathtaking pushpagiri forest and hill. I felt like I landed myself in some other planet altogether. The views were a sight to sore eyes and it was indeed refreshing !
After the off beaten ride to Mandalpatti, I descended and spotted a small streak, I decided to stop by to give the bike and my face a much needed wash !
